Takeshobo Co., Ltd. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Sumitaka Miyata) will release "Ehime Kaidan" by Ippei Miyoshi on Monday, March 30, 2026.

<Synopsis/Introduction> Shikoku's first local ghost stories: Scary and mysterious tales of Ehime Prefecture. A voice actor and storyteller from Nanyo thoroughly investigates the mysteries of his homeland!

From Ushi-oni (ox-demons), Ohenro (pilgrimage) legends, and the Shichinin Misaki to Inugami-tsuki (dog-god possession), this collection fully covers the Toyo, Chuyo, and Nanyo regions. It is a compilation of local ghost stories from Ehime Prefecture, ranging from ancient folklore to modern-day taboos.

Ehime is a beautiful land, recorded as "Ehime" in the Kojiki and the only prefecture in Japan to bear the name of a deity. This collection features scary stories gathered by the author, a native of Nanyo, as he traveled throughout the prefecture.

<Author Information> Ippei Miyoshi Born in Ehime Prefecture. Voice actor. Began telling ghost stories in public at the "Kaidan Saikyosen 2022" (Strongest Ghost Story Battle). Also active as a member of the Yu-Pro Horror Channel. Runs the YouTube channel "Ippei Miyoshi no Kowai Hanashi." Co-authored "Moudoku Kaidan" with Kagee Soushi and participated in "Izawa Shiori no Dareka ni Hanashitaku Naru Kowai Hanashi," a collection of the seven scariest stories selected by popular voice actor and ghost story enthusiast Shiori Izawa.
