Takeshobo Launches "Pop Team Epic SEASON NINE" with Commemorative "Yomikuji" RFID Campaign

Takeshobo Co., Ltd. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Sumitaka Miyata) will release "Pop Team Epic SEASON NINE" (Author: Bkub Okawa) on Friday, May 15, 2026. The artistic gag manga, priced at 1,100 yen (tax included) for its 96-page A5 volume, will be available through Takeshobo's official site and the Take Comi! serialization page. To commemorate its (satirically titled) 'discontinuation,' a "Yomikuji" gift campaign utilizing RFID tags enclosed in the initial comic run will be held. A total of 50 lucky winners will receive an "Original Brass Knuckle," and there is also a participation prize illustration drawn by Bkub Okawa. Purchases at Melonbooks will include an exclusive illustration card while supplies last.
