Kunsei Club Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Masaaki Mori) analyzed official documents obtained via information disclosure requests from the Osaka City Health Center and Chiba University. The analysis revealed that there is no proof in the disclosed documents that the identification of Penicillium adametzioides (the alleged factory blue mold causing the incident) was completed as of the official announcement on May 28, 2024. In the disclosed documents, the identification was confirmed only on October 2, 2024, which is 127 days (over 5 months) after the announcement. Furthermore, the city has not disclosed the chain of custody records, including isolation, subculture, preservation, and management records, that would guarantee the collected samples match the tested strains. According to Chiba University's records, the distribution request dates for standard strains were July 11, 2024, for the Osaka Institute of Public Health and August 19, 2024, for the National Institute of Health Sciences, showing standard strains were unavailable on May 28. Kunsei Club sent inquiry letters to Osaka City on June 1 and 4, 2026, and invites scientific verification.
