Based on the MHLW's decision letter and documents disclosed by the Consumer Affairs Agency, our company requested fact confirmation from the MHLW through two national diet members, one from the ruling party and one from the opposition party. However, the MHLW stated, "We cannot respond as the matter is under litigation," and did not answer the questions posed through the national diet members.

What our company seeks is confirmation of the fact, "whether or not there is a record of Puberulic Acid being publicly announced as a substance causing health damage," a fact that is not dependent on whether litigation is pending. We believe that the most problematic aspect of this case is the refusal to answer even questions posed through national politics.

In the Beni-koji related incident in Reiwa 6, multiple deaths were reported, and the Beni-koji industry was driven to a devastating situation by the public announcement of company names. Despite the gravity of the incident, the basic fact of what the administration has or has not publicly announced regarding the "causative substance" that forms its premise has still not been clarified.
