Surala Net, Inc. (HQ: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Takahiko Yunokawa), a developer of adaptive interactive ICT learning materials using AI, has begun providing its AI learning material 'Surala' to a truancy support program for a wide-area municipality, commissioned by Deloitte Tohmatsu LLC. This project aims to provide a place for students who find it difficult to attend school to stay and learn outside of school. 'Surala' is a learning material that allows students to relearn based on their individual difficulties, regardless of their grade or level of understanding. With interactive lectures via animation and AI-driven drill functions, it facilitates the 'understanding → retention → application' cycle, helping to create an environment where students who are absent from school can easily continue their studies. Surala Net is used in over 3,100 schools and cram schools in Japan. In terms of truancy support, its adoption by local governments is expanding, including in metaverses operated by major cities and prefectures, and in-school separate guidance rooms in public high schools. The number of municipalities adopting the program has increased tenfold in the last six years, and the number of user IDs has increased approximately 19-fold.
