Overview Otsuki Co., Ltd. (based in Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture), the developer of the livestock product brand "USIMO," will host an exhibition booth at the Miyagi General Livestock Market in Misato Town, Miyagi Prefecture, from June 9 (Tue) to 11 (Thu), 2026. The booth will feature their effective contact-cooling neck coolers designed to manage heat stroke in calves and heat stress in adult cows.

Heat and Pest Management Products The "Mo-t Cool" neck cooler is an eco-friendly, electricity-free solution that uses fiber-based moisture retention for extended continuous use. Its efficiency in regulating a cow's body temperature can be enhanced by using ice or coolant packs to cool the blood vessels in the neck.

Furthermore, the company is launching a test sale of the "Mo-t Shima-Gyu Coat," a zebra-patterned coat designed to combat biting flies. This product leverages the insect-repellent properties of zebra stripes—which are said to confuse insect vision, preventing them from landing and distorting their depth perception—to alleviate stress in cattle.

Background and Nationwide Caravan Extreme heat stress and biting insects represent major challenges in livestock management, contributing to productivity decline and heatstroke risks. USIMO has been developing products in direct response to the needs of farmers and is continuing its nationwide caravan this summer to demonstrate the quality of its products firsthand.
