As part of the 'Garden Necklace Yokohama 2026' event hosted by the City of Yokohama, the 24th special exhibition 'Harmony of Flowers and Vessels 2026' will be held at the Yokohama Yamate Western-style houses from June 6 to June 14.

This special exhibition takes place at seven historical Yamate Western-style houses, where traditional Japanese 'Ikebana' meets the aesthetic of Western architecture.

Marking its 24th year, the theme is 'Western Spaces Colored by Masters of Seven Ikebana Schools II,' bringing together masters of seven internationally active Ikebana schools. Each house presents a unique perspective where 'Wa and Western,' 'history and modern,' and 'flowers and lifestyle' overlap. Additionally, as a collaborative event for the International Horticultural Expo 'GREEN×EXPO 2027' to be held in Yokohama in 2027, the exhibition aims to create opportunities to appreciate flowers and greenery and build momentum toward the expo.

On the first day, June 6, the mascot character of Garden Necklace Yokohama, 'Garden Bear,' is scheduled to appear at the Yamate Italian Garden.
