Hokushu Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tomiya City, Miyagi Prefecture; President: Hiromi Murakami), a home builder and construction material supplier, held an appreciation festival for owners and local residents on May 16-17, 2026, to mark the 10th anniversary of "HOKUSHU THE HOUSE SHOP MORIOKA" in Nakanono, Morioka City. The shop provides total proposals for housing, including new construction, remodeling, and real estate sales.

Under its mission 'CULTURE via LIFE,' Hokushu continues to pioneer new standards and elevate living into a culture. The two-day event featured daily workshops and pop-up stores, attracting over 1,000 visitors. Participants shared time enjoying a rich lifestyle while connecting with the community.

### Highlight 1: Celebrating 10 Years with Owners and the Community As a 'living partner' that supports owners long after construction, Hokushu invited approximately 2,400 owners in Iwate Prefecture. Many attended, enjoying reunions and memories with their former sales representatives.

### Highlight 2: Diverse Content Celebrating 'Life Enjoyment' Workshops included traditional 'Homespun' weaving, moss terrarium creation, leather crafting, and wool keychain making. A pop-up store gathered locally crafted goods like Nambu ironware, fostering exchanges between creators and attendees. A Volvo special exhibition and test-drive event showcased high safety and Scandinavian design.

### Highlight 3: Circular Economy and Sustainable Choices Addressing food waste and packaging reduction, the 'Market for Bulk Sales' encouraged customers to buy only what they needed using their own containers. Other exhibits included resource circulation via bag-type composters, locally sourced honey, and Iwate Shorthorn beef. Additionally, consultation booths for high-insulation remodeling—addressing rising electricity costs—and a section featuring classic chairs garnered significant attention.

### Looking Forward: Deepening Community Ties Hokushu was founded in Kitakami City in 1958 and launched its new construction business in 1977. Moving forward, the company will continue to stand by its customers through every life stage, aiming to provide comfortable homes for decades to come, not only through new construction but also through energy-saving renovations and maintenance.
