Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Taito Ward and Local Food Cycling Co., Ltd. (LFC), will host 'The 4th Circular Lifestyle Kotohajime' on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Okachimachi South Exit Square (Okachimachi Panda Plaza).

Marking its fourth installment, this event features diverse programs to experience local resource circulation. Key components include:

1. Circular Workshops: Participants can learn about resource repurposing through activities like portrait drawing with artists from the welfare facility 'Atelier Nitto,' making eco-bags from old newspapers, and crafting pouches from leather scraps. The event also promotes art activities reusing discarded art materials.

2. Circular Marche: Local shops from Taito Ward will participate, offering drinks and food that highlight practices like hop cultivation and repurposing 'loss flowers' (unsellable flowers).

3. Kids' Flea Market: Elementary school students from Taito Ward will host stalls, gaining hands-on experience in the mechanics of circulation.

4. Food Trucks: Vendors will provide fresh food items using produce grown with compost and from rooftop gardens.

5. Resource Collection: In addition to the 'ECOFF' clothing collection by Daimaru Matsuzakaya, the event includes toothbrush recycling in cooperation with Lion Corporation, used cooking oil collection, and more.
