Artglorieux GALLERY OF TOKYO (アールグロリュー ギャラリーオブトーキョー), an art gallery operated by Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores on the 5th floor of GINZA SIX, will host the duo exhibition "Veil - Beyond the Silence," exploring the appeal of Nihonga (Japanese painting) alive today with the themes of "emptiness" and "life," featuring Masanori Matsuura and Ayame Higuchi.
Exhibition Dates: July 16, 2026 (Thu) - July 22, 2026 (Wed)
Opening Hours: 10:30 - 20:30 (Last day closes at 18:00)
This exhibition will showcase Nihonga works by Masanori Matsuura and Ayame Higuchi. Higuchi gazes at human inner feelings and the essence of life through flora and fauna, depicting questions lurking in contemporary society. Meanwhile, Matsuura uses bonsai as his subject to express the "beauty of emptiness," the "beauty of time," and the coexistence of nature and humanity. The works of these two artists, with their differing perspectives, quietly reflect the truths and spirituality that lie beyond visible forms. Please enjoy the new appeal and rich worldview of Nihonga.
