Summer "Cooling" Hospitality Event Held to Coincide with Fireworks Festivals ~Greeting with Water Sprinkling and Ice Cream, Rooftop Fireworks Viewing Event Co-hosted by Labor and Management~

Matsuzakaya Shizuoka Store will hold a hospitality event themed "Feeling Cool" and a viewing event for employees to interact with each other, coinciding with the dates of local fireworks festivals. On July 18 (Sat), to create a Japanese summer seasonal atmosphere, staff will be encouraged to wear yukata (partially), and water sprinkling will be performed in front of the store to help customers feel cool upon arrival. In addition, as a token of gratitude to our regular customers, we will offer fans and ice cream to visitors. For employees, the rooftop space will be opened to provide a place for refreshment and communication among staff.

Water Sprinkling Event Held with Staff in Yukata: Delivering "Coolness" Through Sight and Sensation with Summer Hospitality

As a summer tradition, we will hold a water sprinkling event with staff dressed in yukata. Water sprinkling is expected to lower the ground temperature and reduce the perceived temperature, as well as allow visiting customers to enjoy the refreshing seasonal atmosphere. By creating a "cool" experience through both visual and tactile means, we aim to promote a comfortable in-store environment and create a space where customers can enjoy their visit even on hot summer days.

Goncharoff ice cream will be presented to the first 50 visitors each day!

On the days of the water sprinkling event, as a token of our gratitude to customers who visit us despite the heat, we will distribute original fans and Goncharoff ice cream to the first 50 visitors each day. Combined with the refreshing atmosphere created by water sprinkling with staff in yukata, customers can enjoy cool sweets and a comfortable summer experience.

Rooftop Fireworks Viewing Event Co-hosted by Labor and Management: A Venue for Employee Communication

To foster a sense of unity and create opportunities for communication among employees working at Matsuzakaya Shizuoka Store, as well as to provide a break from their daily work, a rooftop fireworks viewing event will be co-hosted by labor and management. This event is open not only to Daimaru Matsuzakaya department store union members and employees working at Matsuzakaya Shizuoka Store, but also to employees of JFR Group companies and business partners, providing a platform for interaction beyond job roles and company affiliations. At the venue on the main building's rooftop, participants will be able to enjoy Shizuoka's summer tradition, the fireworks festival, while freely bringing their own food and drinks. Through this special fireworks viewing from the rooftop, which is not normally open to the public, we aim to create opportunities for casual communication, promote mutual understanding, foster an environment where new ideas can easily emerge, and build a vibrant workplace.
