Woodworking Kura, which was founded in 1935, launched the chopstick-making experience 'Ginza Bashi' in Ginza, Tokyo, in December 2024. It has grown into a popular activity with approximately 3,000 visitors per month.
From June 23, 2026, a new chopstick-making experience called 'Kiyomizu-bashi,' using wood from Mt. Otowa, will commence at the World Heritage site of Kiyomizu-dera. This project was realized after Masamitsu Onishi of Kiyomizu-dera resonated with Woodworking Kura's philosophy of 'using wood without waste' and its commitment to sharing Japanese culture with the world.
Through its craft, the company continues to share the value of human connection and 'MADE IN JAPAN' with the world.
