Entô, an accommodation facility in Ama-cho on the Oki Islands of Shimane Prefecture, will celebrate its 5th anniversary on July 1, 2026 (Wednesday). To mark this milestone, from July 1 (Wed) to July 31 (Fri), 2026, the 5th anniversary exhibition 'Touching the Earth's Time' will be held mainly at the Entô Geo Lounge. Entô is a lodging base located in the Dozen area of the Oki Islands UNESCO Global Geopark. It has evolved as a place to experience the formation of the earth, unique ecosystems, and the local island life and culture through accommodation, exhibitions, dining, and field experiences. This exhibition introduces the formation of the Dozen Caldera, the folk tool 'Tsukari' inherited in Ama-cho, Ama-no-Shio salt, regional circulation, and the five years Entô has spent in this location. It is a month-long journey tracing Entô's past and future within the overlapping layers of Earth's time, island life, and human activities.
