This report focuses on the "perceived value" and "continuity intent" of generative AI services, clarifying how users evaluate these tools and their plans for future usage. In a web survey conducted in February 2026, users were asked how much they would struggle if generative AI services were no longer available. 18.3% answered "very much" and 40.9% answered "somewhat," totaling 59.2% who expressed some level of difficulty. This figure indicates that generative AI has transcended its role as a mere auxiliary tool and is becoming indispensable in daily life and business. Furthermore, 55.9% of all respondents expressed an intent to continue using the services within the next year, suggesting significant room for market expansion. Regarding usage frequency, 67% of ChatGPT users and 66% of Gemini users reported an "increase," indicating a transition from trial use to established usage. Additionally, 41.3% of users reported that their use of search engines has decreased since using generative AI, revealing a shift in information-gathering behavior. Looking ahead, 56.6% of users identified "providing accurate information" as their top expectation, highlighting a strong demand for functional improvements.
