U-NEXT to Exclusively Live Stream the Masters Featuring Hideki Matsuyama and Others; Multi-Channel Broadcast and Par 3 Contest, Plus Official Documentaries Dating Back to the 1960s

USEN & U-NEXT GROUP's U-NEXT Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Tenshin Tsutsumi), which operates the video streaming service "U-NEXT", will exclusively live stream the golf festival "The Masters" to be held from Thursday, April 9, 2026, to Sunday, April 12, 2026. In addition to broadcasting all four days from the first to the final day across five channels, the Par 3 Contest, held on the preceding day, Wednesday, April 8, will also be exclusively live-streamed. Furthermore, related works, including the "Masters Official Film" series, will be released.

"The Masters" is one of golf's four major championships, held annually in April at the prestigious Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, USA. It is particularly popular in Japan among the four majors, and in 2021, Hideki Matsuyama's victory became the first for a Japanese male golfer in a major, generating significant buzz.

U-NEXT will exclusively live stream this major event. In addition to the main channel (Ch1) with Japanese commentary and narration, we will broadcast five channels in total: Ch2 showing the driving range, Ch3 following featured groups, Ch4 offering a fixed-point view of the renowned "Amen Corner" (holes 11-13), and Ch5 covering holes 15 and 16. This provides an environment where each viewer can enjoy the diverse charms of the tournament to their fullest, tailored to their preferences and viewing angles.

Furthermore, we will exclusively live stream the "Par 3 Contest", held late on Wednesday, April 8 (Japan time), the day before the main tournament. The Par 3 Contest is a unique Masters eve event where players, along with their families and children, enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. Last year, Rory McIlroy's four-year-old daughter sinking a downhill long putt was widely shared globally, drawing attention alongside her father's long-cherished wish to win the tournament.

U-NEXT will also deliver content that conveys the history and culture of the Masters. In addition to digest footage of the final day of the 2025 tournament and the latest official film, we will release "Masters Official Film" series by decade, dating back to the 1960s. This includes the official documentary footage of the 2021 tournament, which captured Hideki Matsuyama's victory, and exclusive interview works with the player such as "2021 Masters Champion Hideki Matsuyama: Exclusive Interview".

Late on Sunday, April 5 (Japan time), we will also stream the final day of the "2026 Augusta National Women's Amateur Golf Championship" live. Please enjoy the historic and traditional major tournament, known as the "Festival of Golf", and its related content on U-NEXT.
