ANW Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Tadashi Shimizu) announced that its color contact lens brand 'envie' served as an official partner for 'JAPANESE NIGHT in Cannes 2026,' an international cultural exchange event held in Cannes, France, on Friday, May 15, 2026 (local time).
The event’s founder, actor and producer MEGUMI, appeared wearing 'envie' lenses. In Cannes, a hub where film, culture, and art intersect, she presented the global vision of 'envie,' a beauty brand born in Japan.
Since its launch in 2014, envie has focused on the theme of 'lenses that allow adult women to express their unique beauty without trying too hard,' catering to women with independent sensibilities. The brand name 'envie' means 'envy' in French. Presenting envie's aesthetic in France, the linguistic roots of the brand, and on the global stage of Cannes, marked a symbolic milestone for the brand.
'JAPANESE NIGHT' aims to internationally promote the appeal of Japanese film and culture and facilitate cultural exchange across diverse industrial sectors, including film. Held at the prestigious Hotel Martinez during the Cannes Film Festival, the event welcomed approximately 1,000 guests from around the world. In addition to founder MEGUMI, the event featured numerous artists including Takumi Saitoh, Yuno Nagao, Marika Matsumoto, LiLy, Aki Mizutani, YP, and Taichi Kimura.
