Background Many jobs consist of multiple steps, and listing them as separate tasks can make it difficult to track overall progress. Users of Sappot-san requested a way to manage tasks in a parent-child structure. To address this, Sappot-san has launched the new 'Subtask' feature.
Overview of 'Subtask' The 'Subtask' feature allows users to split a single task into multiple steps and manage them in a parent-child hierarchy. 1. Create parent-child tasks from Slack By sending a bulleted list in Slack with subtasks under a parent task, they are automatically organized. Subtasks can also be added to existing parent tasks via the Slack menu or portal. 2. Track overall progress via parent tasks Parent tasks display progress badges, allowing users to see the completion status of subtasks at a glance. Subtask deadline alerts are also reflected in the parent task. 3. Subtask templates for recurring tasks Users can set subtask templates for weekly or monthly recurring tasks, eliminating the need to recreate routine work. Subtask deadlines can be linked to the parent task's deadline.
Future Outlook We plan to expand features such as custom statuses and priority labels.
