Drinking parties, internal company events, after-parties, club activities—organizers face a 'triple pain' of upfront payments, individual collection, and chasing payments. Furthermore, with the implementation of the invoice system making individual expense reports mandatory, there is a new challenge: 'I want to expense my portion of the party, but there is only one receipt.' KanjiPay addresses these structural issues.
Canvi Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, CEO: Yuji Okabayashi) has released the beta version of 'KanjiPay', a settlement app that provides a comprehensive solution for event organizers, covering everything from the chronic burden of event planning to expense settlement under the invoice system, starting May 25, 2026 (Sat).
What is KanjiPay?
KanjiPay is an event-specialized settlement service where organizers simply share a collection link, and participants complete payments using their preferred methods. It structurally achieves 'zero upfront payments, zero chasing, and zero calculation errors.'
Until now, settlement methods were tied to the specific apps the organizer or participant used, such as PayPay, bank transfers, or LINE Pay. With KanjiPay, participants can choose their payment method from a single link, ensuring everyone can pay regardless of their available apps.
Key Features
1. Multi-Payment Integration Consolidates PayPay, bank transfers, credit cards (Stripe), and convenience store payments into one link.
2. Participant Stage Settlement Set different amounts for participation levels (e.g., first venue only, up to second venue) and automatically calculate shares for early leavers.
3. Individual Adjustment Organizers can adjust amounts and remarks for each participant, accommodating real-world scenarios like 'more for supervisors, less for newcomers.'
4. Collection Dashboard Real-time overview of payment status for all participants.
5. ★ [Industry First] Automatic Split-Bill Receipt Issuance (Patent Pending) Utilizing a proprietary scheme, participants can immediately obtain receipts for their individual shares that meet invoice system requirements.
★ Industry-First Proprietary Feature: Split-Bill Receipt Issuance Scheme (Patent Pending)
Previously, when settling food and drink expenses paid by multiple people, only one receipt was issued, creating a structural problem where only one person could expense the costs. With the invoice system (implemented October 2023) making it mandatory to include the name and registration number of the qualified invoice issuer, this issue has become critical in accounting practices.
KanjiPay uses a proprietary 'Split-Bill Receipt Issuance Scheme' (patent pending) to have the system automatically issue 'individual receipts' that meet invoice requirements to all participants.
Specifically: - The organizer takes one photo of the original receipt with a smartphone for OCR processing. - The system automatically extracts store name, operating company, phone number, address, and qualified invoice issuer registration number (T + 13 digits). - Individual 'split-bill receipts' based on each participant's burden are generated as PDFs. - Recipients receive their own PDF via LINE etc. and can attach it directly to expense report systems.
This structurally resolves the wall of 'it is hard to expense party costs.'
Beta Benefit — Free Plan Usage During the beta period (scheduled from May 25, 2026, to July 31, 2026), all plans are free to use.
