Tokyo 'Villagers' Reconnect with Hometown: Nozawa Onsen Village to Host 'Tokyo Nozawa Onsen Wakesho-kai' Event

CoBREW Inc. (Musashino, Tokyo; CEO: Eiji Fujiwara), with the support of Nozawa Onsen Village in Nagano Prefecture, will host 'Nozawa Onsen Connect in Tokyo: Tokyo Nozawa Onsen Wakesho-kai' on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The event targets people from Nozawa Onsen Village in their 20s to 40s living in the Tokyo metropolitan area and will be held at CoBREW, a community-based coworking space in Kichijoji.

This event goes beyond a typical gathering for people from the same hometown. CoBREW proposes 'regional revitalization starting from human connections.' While regional revitalization often focuses on promoting migration or tourism, CoBREW believes this alone cannot build a sustainable future for the region. What is truly necessary is to continue nurturing relationships with people who care about the region.

As a world-class tourist destination, Nozawa Onsen Village faces challenges such as housing shortages, problems inheriting vacant houses, maintaining local communities, and a lack of contact with the younger generation. In this event, people from Nozawa Onsen Village living in Tokyo will gather to understand the current situation of their hometown and consider their own way of contributing.
