TPS Action Horror 'NIGHTMARE OPERATOR' to Exhibit at BitSummit, Featuring a Near-Future Japan Setting

DDDistortion Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Nolan Joseph; hereinafter DDDistortion) announced today that 'NIGHTMARE OPERATOR,' currently under development, will be exhibited at 'BitSummit PUNCH,' scheduled to be held from May 22 (Friday) to May 24 (Sunday), 2026.

This title is a TPS action-horror game that fuses a speedy gameplay feel, allowing players to switch gun modes and unleash special moves by inputting fighting game-like commands during combat. Set in a desolate, near-future Japan, battles between the protagonist Misha and various Yokai unfold.

At BitSummit, attendees can enjoy playing the 'Nakano' stage, which will be unveiled to the world for the first time among many stages.

World Premiere 'Nakano' Stage Playable!

'Nakano' is a stage that appears in the middle of the story. Players can enjoy exploration and battles in a familiar yet eerie townscape infiltrated by ominous entities. The trial version allows for approximately 15-20 minutes of gameplay on this stage.

Story

— In 2036, the world was entering a turbulent era, steadily heading towards collapse.

Misha, a public security operator whose livelihood is <Yokai hunting>, accepts a request from the provisional government.

One day, while exploring the desolate ruins of Tokyo, Misha discovers ruins from a once prosperous era and, stepping inside, encounters an unknown phenomenon.

That event was the beginning of the nightmare.
