HIDEO, a luxury bathtub company based in Minato-ku, Tokyo, led by CEO Hideo Shimizu, participated in Milano Design Week 2026, held in Milan, Italy, in April 2026. The company utilized two distinct venues—the International Bathroom Exhibition at Salone del Mobile.Milano and the 'SuperNova' exhibition within Superstudio Design—to articulate its brand philosophy and aesthetic vision from different approaches.

Throughout the event, the company engaged with architects, designers, and media representatives, noting a significant increase in international interest toward the values and aesthetics rooted in Japanese bathing culture.

At Salone del Mobile.Milano, HIDEO exhibited its signature products, the 'IN-2000-E / Infinity-Bio' and 'CH-1400-E / Chiave-Bio'. Drawing from the 44-year design career of Hideo Shimizu, the exhibit positioned bathing not merely as a functional necessity, but as a cultural practice that quietly restores the body and mind. The approach, which defines the bathtub as a 'quiet gesture' formed through delicate sensibility, garnered high praise from industry professionals who view the bathtub as a core element of interior space.

At SuperNova within Superstudio Più, HIDEO staged a collaborative installation titled 'Infinity' with the Italian brand Karbony. Within a space curated by Karbony, the product was displayed alongside organic works by world-renowned designer Ross Lovegrove, creating an immersive environment where carbon fiber and organic forms intersected.

Through this exhibition, HIDEO received fresh interest from European architectural and design circles regarding the cultural values of bathing and the relationship between the body and space. This feedback confirmed the potential for HIDEO's philosophy to resonate across international borders and markets.
