HLB Sports announced that judoka Christa Deguchi (Nippon Life Insurance), under their management, has entered into a partnership agreement with UP Holdings, a company that develops acupuncture, moxibustion, osteopathic clinics, and sports trainer businesses.

UP Holdings operates its business with a focus on unlocking the potential of each individual and supporting their growth and challenges. The path taken by Christa Deguchi, who has repeatedly challenged herself on the world stage, aligns with the company's philosophy of "supporting human growth and realizing a better life," leading to this partnership.

Through this agreement, they will utilize the values of challenge, perseverance, and effort cultivated during her competitive career to contribute to the improvement of the company's brand value. Additionally, they plan to strengthen engagement through joint promotions on SNS and events for customers, while working with employees on new co-creation activities.

As part of this, a lecture was held for employees and stakeholders. Deguchi shared her experiences in a meaningful session.

Eiji Okamoto, Representative Director of UP Holdings, commented, "I was deeply impressed by Christa's earnest and sincere personality. I want to work together to build a rewarding organization by receiving her input on site issues through interactions with staff. We are also committed to supporting the second careers of professional athletes and creating a mechanism that serves as a guide for them."

Christa Deguchi expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "I deeply resonate with UP Holdings' philosophy. I want to leverage my experience from my active career to support the growth of as many people as possible. Having experienced the difficulty of injuries, I truly realize the importance of those who support athletes. I want to expand the value of those who support in the field, such as judo therapists, and contribute to the development of the entire industry."
