Masaki Matsushita, CEO of the Enshu Orimono brand 'HUIS' (Kamigaya-cho, Chuo-ku, Hamamatsu), will give a lecture to students at Shizuoka Prefectural Hamamatsu Oohiradai High School (Oohiradai 4-chome, Chuo-ku, Hamamatsu) on Tuesday, June 9.
This lecture series is a collaboration between Hamamatsu Oohiradai High School and 'entrance' (a group of young volunteers involved in Enshu Orimono) and will consist of five sessions. Subsequent sessions will include a lecture on utilizing fabric scraps on July 14, followed by seminars by the city government starting in September.
The lecture will cover the history, characteristics, and challenges of 'Enshu Orimono,' a key regional industry in Hamamatsu. Using HUIS's initiatives as a case study, Matsushita will explain concepts of branding and marketing. Drawing on his experience as a former Hamamatsu city official, Matsushita aims to inspire the next generation to pursue their dreams.
