HUSK Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) is launching a talk & video podcast project called "Bunka-teki Meitei" (Cultural Intoxication) that explores culture through the gateway of craft beer.

Each episode features a guest, using a beer chosen for that guest as a clue to trace their worldview and the senses and thoughts that shape their creation and practice. Edited versions of the talk events will be released later on Podcast and YouTube.

Vol.1's guest is Yasunao Yoshida, frontman of the band "Triple Fire" and also active as a writer. The theme is "Craft Beer and Writing." The edited version of the talk session held on May 17, 2026, will begin distribution on Podcast and YouTube from late June.

Following this, Vol.2 will feature Akari Hasegawa, a chef and registered dietitian, as a guest. The event will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at sabo beer bar & bookstore in Koto-ku, Tokyo. The theme is "The Culinary Paradox and the Editing of Life." Tickets are currently being accepted via lottery.

Akari Hasegawa, a chef whose recipes on the theme of "new home cooking that doesn't tire you out and boosts self-esteem" have garnered wide support across generations on social media and in the media. This 90-minute session will delve into the "logic" behind her recipes and the gentleness of her words, exploring its structure with a specially written companion booklet and a craft beer in hand. Using Michael Pollan's "Cooked," the evolution of "mindful living," and Ami Aota's "aesthetics of daily life" as reference points, we will reposition Akari Hasegawa within a map of representative chefs and discuss why her work resonates so strongly today. The talk will unfold from various perspectives and with multiple reference points.
