INS Inc. (Headquarters: Sumida-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Sota Motohashi; hereinafter 'INSOMNIA') is pleased to announce that its e-sports team, 'INSOMNIA,' has entered into a sponsorship agreement with Ouka Inc. (Headquarters: Ota-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kazumasa Obara), which operates pharmacies.
Background and Purpose of the Sponsorship This partnership is based on an 'industry co-creation sponsorship' model that goes beyond simple logo placement. By combining the reach of e-sports with the professional expertise of pharmacies that support medical infrastructure, the companies aim to expand interest in the pharmaceutical industry and create new value.
As a core initiative, they will release collaborative content, such as an official podcast and job shadowing by INSOMNIA players, to widely disseminate the role of pharmacists who support health insurance and public health, doing more than just 'handing out medicine.'
Comments from Sota Motohashi, Representative Director of INS Inc. 'I am thrilled and honored to welcome Ouka Inc. as our new partner and to launch this unprecedented industry co-creation sponsorship. E-sports has grown beyond simple entertainment into an industry with powerful reach, connecting many young people and communities. Meanwhile, the pharmacies and pharmacists managed by Ouka are essential medical infrastructure supporting our lives and health. Through this partnership, we will leverage our team’s reach and content production capabilities to deliver the expertise and professional value of pharmacists—which is often invisible—to new audiences, including e-sports fans. We are fully committed to driving this new challenge, born from the synergy between healthcare and e-sports.'
Comments from Kazumasa Obara, Representative Director of Ouka Inc. 'It is a great honor for us to enter into a sponsorship agreement with INSOMNIA, a team that continues to generate enthusiasm at the forefront of e-sports. We at Ouka want to incorporate the overwhelming energy and stimulus of the constantly evolving e-sports industry into the medical field. Medical care and pharmacies often have a prior image of being for older people, but through this partnership, we hope to encourage young people to focus on their own health and make local pharmacies and us pharmacists more familiar. As a 'Brawl Stars' fan myself, I experience the appeal of e-sports every day, and I am very happy that we, as a company, can support young talents who continue to strive towards their dreams on the big stage.'
