MAXIV Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Noriyuki Makishima) held a baseball clinic on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Meiji Jingu Gaien Indoor Ballgame Hall (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) as part of its social contribution initiative, the 'MAXIV LIEN PROJECT.' The event was conducted in collaboration with Munenori Ihara, former manager of the Chiba Lotte Marines, and targeted players from the Japan Physical Disability Baseball Federation.

A total of 38 players from five teams affiliated with the Japan Physical Disability Baseball Federation participated in the clinic. Practical training sessions were held in batting and fielding, with personalized coaching tailored to each player's physical condition, fostering both technical improvement and interpersonal exchange through baseball.

Mr. Ihara provided individualized instruction, including batting guidance, adapting his approach to each participant's unique needs. The event deepened understanding and awareness of disability baseball.

Throughout his playing career and beyond, Mr. Ihara has been actively involved in various social contribution activities. Through this project, he continues to contribute to local communities and society through the power of baseball.

Also in attendance was Anna Mima, actress and wife of Mima Manabu, pitching coach for the Chiba Lotte Marines' second team. Ms. Mima's child was born without a right hand and forearm, which sparked her personal interest in disability baseball and led her to support this initiative.
