The VRChat experience 'Project [ latent ] // archive_,' planned and produced by creative studio MIGIRI—a specialist in XR events centered on VRChat—has been selected for the 'Raindance Immersive 2026' section of the Raindance Film Festival, one of Europe's largest independent film festivals.

This work is an immersive experience featuring artist Rui Geppaku, part of Sony Music Entertainment's virtual talent project VEE. During its re-screening in April 2026, it recorded over 6,500 concurrent connections on VRChat.

About 'Project [ latent ] // archive_'

This work is a reconstructed archive experience of the VRChat live performance 'latent' by VEE virtual artist Rui Geppaku, held in March 2026. Following the initial performance, it was re-screened in April as a 'Post-analysis supplementary log,' and this selection for Raindance Immersive 2026 represents its international debut. A Q&A session with the artist is also planned to coincide with the screening.

The experience recreates in VR space the anomalies that occurred during the singing of the protagonist, who suffers from a unique condition where she is 'only perceived through digital tools.' Audiences are integrated into the experience as part of the experimental data.

Raindance Immersive is the international exhibition section for immersive and XR works hosted by the Raindance Film Festival (now in its 11th year). The event will consist of screenings on VRChat (June 13–21) and an XR showcase in London (June 23–25).
