ORPHE (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yuya Kikukawa) has announced 'ORPHE INSOLE CUSTOM,' a new service co-developed with Q’sfix (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Akihiro Nakamura). This service combines custom-molded insoles, designed to match the shape of an individual's feet, with smart insole technology that measures plantar pressure and foot movement.
Previously, custom-molded insoles and smart insoles were provided as separate products. By integrating them, ORPHE INSOLE CUSTOM allows users to quantitatively track the effectiveness of the insoles, supporting continuous gait review and optimization.
Users can receive support from custom insoles while also acquiring data on plantar pressure and foot movement during walking. This enables users to understand changes resulting from customization not just through subjective feeling, but through concrete data, which can then be used for continuous monitoring or analysis by professionals.
The company envisions the service being deployed in the medical field and for safety management in factory environments. Continuous acquisition and analysis of gait data are expected to assist in visualizing body movement and understanding risk tendencies among workers in various sectors.
It should be noted that this service is not a medical device; its purpose is to support the understanding of body movement based on the data obtained.
The service is scheduled to be showcased at the Digital Health Festival 2026, held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Melbourne, Australia, on May 20-21, 2026.
