Raku-P Inc. (Representative Director: Noriyuki Senkawa), in partnership with Metropolitan Expressway Service Co., Ltd. (President: Shinichi Mihara), has begun offering 'Okudake Parking,' an AI license plate recognition-enabled parking solution that requires no civil or excavation work.
This system is a new parking solution equipped with AI license plate recognition for vehicle management and online payment functions, enabling the operation of hourly parking lots on small or vacant land with minimal burden and in a short period.
[Background of Development] Traditionally, establishing hourly parking lots required civil and excavation work for installing payment machines and specialized equipment construction, making it difficult to introduce on small or short-term land.
'Okudake Parking' resolves these issues and is being deployed as a new parking solution that allows for flexible parking lot operations on narrow or vacant land.
[Key Features of Okudake Parking] - Short-term deployment without civil/excavation work: It eliminates the previously necessary civil/excavation work, enabling parking lots to be opened in a short period. It is also suitable for short-term land use as it is easy to remove and relocate. - Unmanned operation via AI recognition and online payment: Equipped with high-precision AI cameras for vehicle number recognition and a cloud management system. It supports cashless payment, and revenue management is completed online. - Compatible with narrow or vacant land: Since large equipment is not required, it can be installed in places previously difficult to convert into parking lots, such as narrow urban lots or provisional land. - Proprietary mechanism for 'just-place' installation (patent pending): Adopts a proprietary mechanism that optimizes the license plate recognition camera, which originally requires precise angle adjustment, even with simple installation.
[Pilot Testing and Future Outlook] Verification through actual operation has begun at 'Tengenjibashi (1) Parking' (Minamiazabu 4-chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo), operated by Metropolitan Expressway Service Co., Ltd. Moving forward, we will expand our deployment widely to land owners, real estate companies, and parking operators.
