Digital Certificate Platform "proovy" Obtains Issuer Certification for 1EdTech's International Technical Standard "Open Badges 3.0"

(hereinafter referred to as "1EdTech").

Open Badges is an international standard specification for digitally proving learning achievements, skills, qualifications, training completion, and activity records. Open Badges 3.0 enhances the authenticity and interoperability of certificates by incorporating the concept of Verifiable Credentials (VC).

With this certification, proovy has been recognized as a platform capable of issuing open badges in compliance with the Open Badges 3.0 standard.

Recept will integrate Open Badges-related functions into its proprietary product "proovy," including its existing platform (in all forms of provision, including wallet, SaaS, API/SDK, and white label).

Background of Certification Acquisition

In recent years, there has been a growing need for online verifiable digital certificates (Verifiable Credentials) as replacements for paper or PDF certificates among educational institutions, qualification issuing bodies, companies, and local governments.

In particular, in areas such as reskilling, human capital management, recruitment and personnel placement, training management, and proof of academic history in universities and vocational schools, mechanisms are required that allow recipients to securely hold their skills and learning achievements and share/present them when necessary.
