French Bergerac Rising Star 'Maison Wessman' Makes Japan Debut

TY Creation, operator of 'TYC Wines,' announced that it will begin handling wines from the Bergerac-based winery 'Maison Wessman' as the exclusive Japanese importer starting June 2026.

To commemorate the launch, world-champion sommelier Andreas Larsson, a consultant and brand ambassador for Maison Wessman, will visit Japan. Starting with a masterclass seminar at the Japan Sommelier Association on June 10, he will also host wine maker dinners at prominent hotels and restaurants in Tokyo and Osaka.

Maison Wessman is an emerging winery dedicated to showcasing the terroir of France's Bergerac and Limoux regions. Owner Robert Wessman acquired the 12th-century Château Saint-Cernin in the early 2000s, released its first vintage in 2016, and maintains 26 hectares of vineyards. The wines combine traditional methods with precise modern techniques under Larsson's guidance.
