[5th Anniversary] Yokohama Beer Bike Unveils Early Summer Tours Packed with Local Collaborations in Japan's Craft Beer Hub!

“Yokohama Beer Bike” was born in Yokohama, a city known for its dense concentration of craft breweries. Since its start in October 2021, the tour has reached its 5th anniversary, welcoming approximately 2,000 participants to date. With many repeat customers, the participant satisfaction rate is an astounding 98.7%. As a new experience set in the cityscape of Yokohama, it has gained national attention.

This autumn, Yokohama Beer Bike will host even more special collaboration tours! Offerings include the [Kiyoken Siumai Tour], where guests can taste Yokohama's famous Siumai while visiting breweries, and a collaboration with “Citadines Harbor Front Yokohama,” which opened in Nihon-odori in 2022. These special plans deliver local experiences unique to Yokohama.

What is a Beer Bike? A “Beer Bike” is a “mobile beer counter” originally from the Netherlands, a nation of cyclists. In the “Beer Bike Tourism” project—the first of its kind in Japan—six passengers pedal while holding a beer, visiting Yokohama’s cityscapes and breweries. A guide navigates from the center, and a live performer plays music from the rear. It is a new sensation of tourism from Yokohama that unifies city scenery, music, and craft beer.

Collaboration Tours Full of Yokohama's Charm 【Kiyoken Collaboration】Yokohama Beer Bike Tour with Kiyoken Siumai (June 5) This tour features Yokohama craft beer along with Kiyoken's Pocket Siumai. 【Citadines Collaboration】City Hack Series on the Citadines Vessel A collaboration with “Citadines Harbor Front Yokohama.” Hotel staff known as “Citazens” will join the ride, providing a 30-minute hotel tour followed by a 90-minute Beer Bike tour through Yokohama's night views and breweries. The tour visits two breweries with flights of three craft beers and local food pairings. It’s a night tour unique to Yokohama that connects the city, the hotel, and the beer. Following last year's popularity, we plan to continue this project in 2026.

5th Anniversary Special Projects! Original Beer Brewing Scheduled! In this 5th year since the tour began, we are launching the “5th Anniversary Special Project” to show our gratitude and further promote the charm of Yokohama. The highlight will be the brewing of an “Original Collaboration Beer” in partnership with Yokohama breweries! Moving forward, we aim to continue promoting the city’s appeal through collaborations with various Yokohama-based companies and facilities.
