Yokosuka City is recruiting the 2nd cohort of 'Hataraku-ka,' a project team where high school students and city officials learn, think, and propose policies together. The program runs for six months starting in late August 2026, meeting 1-2 times a month. Participants will learn how to create projects through lectures and discussions with entrepreneurs and local activists. Online participation is available. The recruitment targets about 20 high school students living or studying in Yokosuka City (18 years old or younger as of March 2027). The theme for 2026 is the 'YOKOSUKA Oshi-katsu Project,' focusing on generating ideas to increase the number of 'Yokosuka fans' and broadcasting the city's appeal globally. Online briefing sessions will be held via Zoom on June 16, July 2, and July 15. The application deadline is July 31, 2026.
