IKEDA PORT MARCHÉ 'Shodoshima Sea Paradise' to be Held

The port transforms into a one-day 'marine theme park.' JF Ikeda (Ikeda Fisheries Cooperative) and JF Zengyoren (National Federation of Fisheries Cooperative Associations) will co-host the experiential event 'IKEDA PORT MARCHÉ Shodoshima Sea Paradise' at Ikeda Port Park in Shodoshima, Kagawa Prefecture, on Sunday, June 21, 2026. The event is a participatory event themed around 'making the sea and fishing industry more fun and familiar.'

At the venue, many 'special sea experiences' for all ages will be conducted, such as fishing boat cruises visiting oyster farms, nori-making, clam picking, 'iriko' (dried sardine) anatomy, touch pools, and fishermen's ropework experiences.

There will also be projects participating by answering LINE surveys, unfolding as a 'participatory event' where visitors themselves can touch the sea and fishing industry.

Hokkaido-Shiretoko Fisheries Cooperative also participates. Gourmet & experiential event to enjoy across the entire port. On the day, fisheries-related personnel from both inside and outside Shodoshima, restaurants, and craft businesses will gather. The Hokkaido Shiretoko-Shari First Fisheries Cooperative will also participate, sending out the charm of the sea from various parts of Japan from Shodoshima. The venue will feature many booths including local fish gourmet, true oysters, seafood sales, local beer, sweets, food trucks, and workshops, where visitors can enjoy food and interaction unique to the port. Furthermore, a 'Garapon raffle' where you can participate with every 500 yen purchase will be held. The content is designed for families and tourists to enjoy throughout the day.
