5. Reason for Occurrence: In accordance with the instructions of the Taiwan Stock Exchange, a press conference was convened to provide explanations regarding the recent food safety incident involving Chung Lian Oils.
6. Response Measures:
(1) The Chairman of the Company, on behalf of Taisun, sincerely apologizes to all consumers, the Changhua County Health Bureau, the Food and Drug Administration, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Executive Yuan, and all relevant regulatory authorities for the public concern caused by this incident and for the significant administrative resources expended by regulatory bodies in addressing the matter.
(2) The Company will continue to fully cooperate with investigations conducted by regulatory and judicial authorities, provide all relevant information, and respect judicial procedures and the final investigation outcomes.
(3) Regarding supplier improvement plans, the Company will continue to supervise suppliers to maintain food safety management standards exceeding legal requirements. An independent team of third-party academic experts and professionals will be commissioned to comprehensively review procurement, raw material management, production processes, quality inspection, product release, and supply chain management systems. Resumption of operations will not be recommended until thorough improvements are verified.
(4) The Company reiterates that it will continue to suspend the sale of soybean salad oil-related products until every batch is confirmed safe through credible third-party professional testing. Furthermore, the Company maintains its existing policy of fully recalling soybean oil-related products manufactured between April and June 115 (2026) and will not re-ship or re-sell them. Any such products still circulating in the market are being disposed of by certain customers in accordance with official announcements and legal provisions, and do not originate from new shipments by the Company.
(5) The Company will fulfill its previously announced commitment to donate NT$30 million to support the enhancement of domestic food safety testing capacity and will continue to invest resources in food safety initiatives to assist in strengthening national food safety inspection capabilities.

With regard to this oil safety incident, the Company currently estimates its financial loss to be approximately between NT$150 million and NT$200 million. Additionally, the Company holds a 33.33% equity stake in Chung Lian Oils Co., Ltd., and the related investment gains or losses will be recognized in accordance with the 'IFRS International Financial Reporting Standards.' The above financial figures are currently under review by the accounting firm.
