Report on 'Daiyame Yokocho: Japanese Chill Time Meeting'

Hamada Shuzo Co., Ltd. and Ninben Co., Ltd. held an online collaboration event titled 'Daiyame Yokocho: Japanese Chill Time Meeting' on May 22, 2026. Both Washoku and traditional sake brewing are registered as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, drawing global attention. This project focused on the umami of 'dashi,' the foundation of Japanese cuisine, and the aroma of the innovative botanical shochu 'CHILL GREEN,' proposing a new way to spend relaxing time at home. The event was limited to 20 participants selected from 71 applicants, reflecting high interest. During the event, participants learned how to make 'Chill Highballs' directly from the brewery and practiced pairing them with dashi-based snacks, fostering interaction among attendees. Participants commented that the event allowed them to feel the dedication to food and aroma even online, marking a successful opportunity to explore new culinary experiences.
