The Japan Life Design Counselor Association (JLCA) has announced the successful candidates for the 6th Marriage Counselor Specialist (Intermediate) and 9th Marriage Counselor (Beginner) certification exams. Twenty-eight individuals passed the intermediate level and were certified as "Certified Marriage Counselor Specialists." These professionals are expected to provide stable counseling and possess a deep understanding of social issues related to family formation. Additionally, 78 people passed the 10th beginner-level exam. To date, 1,564 individuals have been certified since the program's inception. Starting now, a new examination system has been introduced. The application period is now 2.5 months, and the process is streamlined: exam materials are sent within a week of payment, results are provided within a week of submission, and certificates are issued within two weeks. Certification can now be achieved in as little as one month. The application period for the 7th intermediate and 11th beginner exams is from June 1 to August 15, 2026, with a submission deadline of August 31. Established in January 2007, the JLCA aims to improve the reliability of the marriage introduction industry through its "Maruteki Mark" certification and training programs.
