It is not easy for our society to recognize sexual violence against children with disabilities. In addition to the reality that "sexual violence" itself is hidden and victims are forced into silence, misguided social perceptions (prejudice) towards "disability" also contribute to a situation where sexual violence against children with disabilities is not easily recognized, often dismissed with phrases like "because they are disabled" or "it can't be helped."
Part 1 of this seminar, titled "STOP! Because they are disabled! STOP! It can't be helped! Let's create a safe base for children!", will share necessary knowledge and skills to consider "what can be done." Part 2 will share knowledge, ideas, and practical tools (introduced through case studies) for "communication (support)," aiming to boost supporters' motivation not to give up and not to let children with disabilities give up on communication, thereby broadening their ideas.
