Niigata Prefecture and NPO manma collaborate to launch 'Komusubi Intern' family visit program

About the FY2026 'Komusubi Intern' in Niigata Prefecture

'Komusubi Intern' is an experiential program commissioned by Niigata Prefecture and planned and operated by the NPO manma. It allows youth to visit child-rearing families in Niigata Prefecture, where they can interact with children and experienced parents to reflect on their own life careers.

The program aims to help participants envision their own future by encountering diverse family structures and the realities of balancing child-rearing with work.

This initiative has received high satisfaction ratings from participants in other municipalities and is being introduced for the first time in Niigata Prefecture.

We are now recruiting participants and host families for the FY2026 'Komusubi Intern' program.

Eligibility

- Komusubi Intern Participants: Unmarried persons aged 18–29 living in Niigata Prefecture. (Also eligible if you are not currently living in the prefecture but hope to reside in Niigata in the future.) (Participation is allowed individually or in groups of two, such as friends or couples.)

- Host Families: Families living in Niigata Prefecture mainly raising preschool children.
