Keio Corporation and the Urban Renaissance Agency (UR) are hosting the '5th Student Idea Pitch for Urban Development in the Tama Area.' This initiative invites high school and university students living or studying along the Keio line to submit ideas that would make the communities in the Tama area 'places people want to visit and gather.' Now in its fifth year, the event aims to foster student engagement with the area, and promising proposals will be considered for joint realization.
This project is part of a collaborative agreement signed by both organizations in 2018. Reflecting the growing importance of inquiry-based learning in school curricula, it provides students with a platform to tackle real-world community challenges.
