Machida City, Tokyo Announces the Production of 'Arukikata Machida City Edition'

Machida City, Tokyo, will jointly produce the 'Arukikata: Machida City Edition' with Arukikata Co., Ltd. The editing and publishing will be handled by Arukikata Co., Ltd., while the city will support the project through information sharing and cooperation with interviews.

This guidebook will be created in collaboration with local residents and business owners, uncovering and showcasing Machida City’s diverse attractions—its history, culture, nature, commerce, sports, gourmet cuisine, and community activities. The project also aims to help residents rediscover the charm of their city, deepening their affection and pride in their community.

About 'Arukikata' (The Walk)

Since its first publication in 1979, 'Arukikata' has been a renowned travel guidebook series covering approximately 160 countries and regions. In recent years, it has expanded its domestic series, publishing in-depth guidebooks that explore the unique characteristics of local areas in Japan.
