Fukuoka Prefecture Future IT Initiative will provide subsidies with the aim of revitalizing industries and regions and creating business opportunities looking ahead to the future of the prefecture by supporting the development of innovative IT products and services that contribute to solving regional and social issues using advanced technologies such as Generative AI and blockchain technology.
Applicants can also receive advice from Fukuoka Prefecture Business Producers after being selected.
This project utilizes the national government's Local Revitalization Extraordinary Grant for Response to Price Increases.
1. Eligible Applicants (1) SMEs and small businesses with offices in the prefecture. (2) Must be a member of the Fukuoka Prefecture Future IT Initiative by the start of the project. (3) When conducting a subsidy project as a consortium, all of the following requirements must be met: - The representative of the consortium must be (1). - The main part of development and accompanying research/demonstration must be carried out by (1). - Copies of documents related to the establishment of the consortium, such as agreements, must be submitted by the start of the project.
2. Eligible Projects - Development of new IT products/services and accompanying research/demonstration. - Development of new IT products/services by utilizing IT technology in existing products, and accompanying research/demonstration.
3. Subsidy Amount, etc. (1) Upper limit: 10 million yen (2) Subsidy rate: Within 1/2 of eligible expenses (3) Eligible expenses: Expenses directly necessary for software development (Personnel costs for developers / Equipment costs (including software) / Material costs / Consumables costs / Expenses for industrial property rights applications, etc.) (4) Subsidy period: From the date of grant decision to the end of February 2027
*For SMEs that raise the minimum wage at their workplace by the end of the subsidy period based on the March 2026 workplace minimum wage, the subsidy rate and limit will be increased as follows if approved by the chairperson. - Minimum wage increase of 30 yen or more but less than 60 yen: Subsidy rate 2/3, Limit 13.33 million yen - Minimum wage increase of 60 yen or more: Subsidy rate 3/4, Limit 15 million yen
4. Application Period From April 24, 2026 (Friday) to June 5, 2026 (Friday) 17:00.
