In response to population decline, a shrinking birthrate, and the outflow of youth, Chichibu City is establishing the 'Youth Future Conference' as a new initiative to incorporate the perspectives and ideas of young people into municipal administration. From April 1 to May 15, the city recruited first-term members, receiving 25 applications for 15 spots, indicating high interest in urban development among the youth. Given this, the city decided to appoint all 25 applicants as first-term members and will hold the first meeting as follows. The meeting will include diverse young people, such as high school students, university students, and working professionals in their teens and 20s. The first meeting will include the presentation of certificates of appointment by the mayor, networking among members, and sharing of future activities.
