The Gender Equality Promotion Division of Tachikawa City is hosting the Tachikawa Gender Equality Forum to foster a society where men and women respect each other and live prosperously.
For its 18th edition, screenwriter and novelist Erika Yoshida, known for works such as the NHK serial TV novel "Tora ni Tsubasa," will deliver the keynote speech. The theme will be "'Hate?' Turning That Realization into an Opportunity: Towards a Future and Society of Mutual Respect and Support." Yoshida will share insights from her extensive work spanning television dramas to animation.

Application (Lottery): Apply via electronic application or at the service counter by Friday, May 29. Lottery applications cannot be made by phone. Childcare and sign language interpretation services can be requested during application.

Results Announcement: Results will be announced on Saturday, June 6, on the official city website and the gallery on the 1st floor of the Women's Center.
Lecturer Profile: Erika Yoshida (Screenwriter/Novelist). Works include the 2024 NHK serial TV novel "Tora ni Tsubasa." Won the 40th Mukoda Kuniko Award for "Koisenu Futari" and the 9th ATA Best Screenplay Award for the anime "Bocchi the Rock!."
