Kinokawa City, Wakayama Prefecture (Mayor: Ken Kishimoto) has officially launched a project to build 'sky regional infrastructure' using drones, aiming to promote the social implementation of drones as a new regional infrastructure to support sustainable community development in areas facing population decline and aging.

This project designates three key areas: disaster prevention, logistics, and agriculture. It aims to create a regional model that can be utilized both in normal times and during emergencies. The project will be implemented in collaboration with companies participating in the 'Kinokawa City Drone Social Implementation Promotion Consortium,' established in fiscal year 2025, and has been selected for the national 'Regional Future Grant' (subsidy rate of 1/2).
