City-Original Academic Achievement and Learning Status Survey (Learning Assessment) to be Implemented

We will conduct a detailed grasp and analysis of the academic achievement status of students in elementary and junior high schools within Kinokawa City, verify the results and challenges of educational measures, work towards their improvement, and establish a continuous verification and improvement cycle for education.

Furthermore, we will conduct data analysis in collaboration with data scientists to support schools in improving lessons that enhance children's abilities.

2. Date and Time: Elementary Schools: May 12-22; Junior High Schools: June 9-12

3. Target Grades: Elementary Schools: 4th to 6th grade; Junior High Schools: 1st and 2nd grade

4. Content:

For elementary school students, the survey covers 'Japanese Language and Arithmetic,' and for junior high school students, 'Japanese Language, Mathematics, and English.' The survey will be conducted using a CBT (Computer Based Testing) method as a city-original initiative.

We will conduct data analysis in collaboration with data scientists to identify the stumbling blocks and challenges of each student (CHECK), provide instruction on areas where understanding is not solidified (ACTION), plan units systematically (PLAN), and implement the planned lessons (DO), thereby executing a PDCA cycle in instruction.
