Traditional Craftsmanship Walking with Noto: '117th Kutani Pottery Festival 2026' Held to Support Noto's Recovery!

The annual Golden Week event, Kutani Pottery Festival, will be held in Nomi City, Ishikawa Prefecture.

This is a great chance to purchase everything from everyday tableware to fine art pieces by Kutani ware artists at special prices!

The event will be dispersed across three main venues as well as local shops and kilns in Nomi City. By setting up stalls and events related to Kutani ware throughout the city, the entire city of Nomi will liven up the Kutani Pottery Festival, ensuring all visitors can enjoy themselves.

At the Neagari venue, there will be booths for Wajima lacquerware and Suzu pottery, and as a new initiative, booths by young artists will also be set up. At the Kutani Pottery Village venue, the Wajima Morning Market will open!

During the festival, the public bus 'Nomi Bus' that tours the city will be free on all routes, and services will be increased on parts of the connecting routes (daytime) and sightseeing routes (bound for Pottery Village and Tatsunokuchi Onsen), making it convenient to travel to each venue and tourist facility.
