The 'Ibaraking' melon, an original breed from Ibaraki Prefecture, is a green-fleshed melon characterized by its elegant aroma, sweetness, and fine, juicy flesh. It was born after over 10 years of breeding and selected from approximately 40,000 individuals. Restaurants across the prefecture are offering sweets and dishes using this Ibaraking melon and the red-fleshed 'Quincy' melon.
