Comment from President Asuka Tsuzuki
President Asuka Tsuzuki
Kagoshima Prefectural Konan High School is one of the leading high schools in the prefecture, dedicated to fostering "leaders who think and act globally" based on its 120-year history and tradition. I deeply respect its educational philosophy and practices, and I am very pleased to have signed this university-high school collaboration agreement.
Our university's mission is to "nurture human resources needed by society," and we promote education that responds to the needs of the times, including ICT, AI, and data science. Furthermore, we will open the Kagoshima Chuo Campus in April 2026, enhancing our education in the Department of Information, AI, and Data Science as a new learning hub.
Through this agreement, we will provide opportunities for high school students to deepen their understanding of university learning and future career paths through support for inquiry activities by university faculty, AI and information education, and outreach lectures. By collaborating, the high school and university will leverage their respective educational strengths to nurture human resources who will lead the future of our local community.
