(Headquarters: Kaminoyama-cho, Tomata-gun, Okayama Prefecture; President and CEO: Hideo Yamada; hereinafter 'Yamada Bee Farm') has signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement on June 17, 2026, with Uda City, Nara Prefecture (Mayor: Kazutomo Kongō; hereinafter 'Uda City') and SMK Corporation (President and CEO: Yasumitsu Ikeda; hereinafter 'SMK') to advance initiatives supporting the extension of healthy life expectancy for Uda City's residents.

Under this agreement, the three parties will conduct a joint research study targeting Uda City residents, combining the provision of a functional food product that supports brain cognitive function with a technology that analyzes 'brain health' through voice analysis. This longitudinal study will continuously track residents' health status and analyze changes and contributing factors. By continuously collecting and analyzing health-related data, the project aims to generate actionable insights for community health improvement and to build a sustainable model for health promotion through collaboration between local governments and private enterprises.

Background of the Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement

Amid accelerating population aging and declining birthrates, local governments are increasingly required to implement effective policies that extend residents' healthy life expectancy, promote overall well-being, and ensure the sustainable management of social security costs. At the same time, for private companies, accumulating real-world evidence on the effectiveness of health-related services and products has become increasingly critical to enhancing their value.

Against this backdrop, the three parties have entered into this agreement to co-create new, community-based health promotion initiatives by combining their respective technological expertise, research insights, and local infrastructure.
